Handicraft is a broad term that include the production and preparation of good at local level by utilizing local resources. it includes the work of paper, wood, plastic, straw , bamboo, cane and other kinds of raw materials at local level. these profession make use of the skills of local people and local technology by using local investment. this is equally important as it  enforces  people  to reuse and recycle the waste materials in preparing other useful products.

 local people put simple efforts to use their  resources such as straw, cane,hay etc. with the help of these resources they prepare /make mat, rope  rack table etc and other goods that are used for domestic purpose as well as commercial purpose.the handicraft business has extend widely because it can attract the number of tourist and enables us to earn foreign currency. it is very useful to transmit our culture every  where through different products. more importantly, the business is being carried out in order to employ many people having no high academic qualification in rural area of our country.
